153. Jacob DETURCK11,29,32 was born on 25 May 1799 in Exeter Township, Berks Co., PA. He died on 5 Mar 1875. He was buried in Schwarzwald Reformed Church, Exeter Township, PA. Jacob operated a fulling mill in Amity Township. Members of his family would also knit garments for sale. He later sold the mill to his son Frederick and he retired to his father's homestead, known as the Boone farm.

Jacob DETURCK and Esther GOODHART were married about 1823. Esther GOODHART11,32 (daughter of Johann Frederich GOODHART and Mary Gertrude SHAFFNER) was born on 22 Nov 1803 in Berks County, PA. She died on 15 Mar 1857. She was buried in Schwarzwald Reformed Church, Exeter Township, PA. Jacob DETURCK and Esther GOODHART had the following children:

Jacob G. DETURCK32 was born on 13 Feb 1832 in Amity Township, Berks Co., PA. He died on 7 Oct 1901. Married first to Susanna B. Miller and second to Emily Shivers. All are buried at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.

Joshua G. DETURCK32 was born on 14 Nov 1833 in Amity Township, Berks Co., PA. He died on 24 Dec 1914 in Los Angeles, CA. He was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. Joshua taught school for a few years in Exeter Township; but later moved west and bought a farm in Indiana. He enlisted in the Union Army during the Civil War and served with an artillery battalion during the entire war. After the war he embarked in the cattle and live stock business in Kansas until 1874, when a grasshopper plague destroyed all the crops. He shipped seven carloads of cattle, horses and two buffalos east to his brother Benjamin, where they were sold. In 1875 he moved to California to prospect for gold. Having found little, he again went into the live stock business in Los Angeles, until his death. His body was returned to Reading for burial. He married Martha Romig in California.

Jacob DETURCK and Maria MOLL were married about 1858. Maria MOLL21,32,38,58 (daughter of Johannes MOLL and Hannah SCHUMACHER) was born on 11 Feb 1806 in Berks County, PA. She died on 2 Jan 1872 in Berks County, PA. She was buried in Zion's "Ziegel's" Union Church, Windsor Castle, Perry Twp., PA.
