Veteran of WW II, served with the US Army. Although his assignment missed actual combat, he served a year in Paris, France after it was liberated from the Nazies. He worked a number of years for the Berkshire Knitting Mills and later as a warehouse man at the Grace Mines in Morgantown, PA.
