12. George RITTER^17,18 was born on 18 Nov 1733 in Berks County, PA. He died on 18 Nov 1808 in Exeter Township, Berks Co., PA. George was a farmer and per Montgomery's History of Berks County, he served during the Revolutionary War. Other researchers have George Ritter born 17 February 1733 as a son of George Sr. and this George Sr. a son of Ferdinand. Family listed does work with 1790 US Census. A second George Ritter was on the Exeter 1752 Tax list. George wrote his will on 1 March 1808. It was filed for probate on 2 December 1808. To wife Maria Elisabeth, use of all estate during widowhood. After her decease to son Isaac, all my land in Exeter for which he shall pay 2050 pds. to other heirs as follows: to son Johannes, 300 pds., to son Henrich, 550 pds., to son Christian, 350 pds, to son Abraham, 300 pds., to dau Barbara, wife of Christian HECKLER, 150 pds., and dau Maria, wife of George GOTTSHALL, 150 pds. Exec: son-in-law Christian HECHLER and friend Adam Young. Letters to Heckler, the other renouncing.

George RITTER and Mary Elizabeth DIETER were married about 1760. Mary Elizabeth DIETER¹⁷ (daughter of Mathias DIETER) was born on 16 Sep 1739. She died on 14 Sep 1808 in Exeter Township, Berks Co., PA. She was buried in Ritter Family Plot, Exeter Township, PA. George RITTER and Mary Elizabeth DIETER had the following children:
