Was noted as a grocer on daughter Amelia's marriage license. He is known to have operated a produce and meat cart, pulled by two beautiful white horses. Albert and Sally were married by Rev. Aaron D. Leinbach.

Leroy had transportation contracts with Lower Heidelberg Township for school buses and several borough trash pickup contracts. He also served on the Berks County Prison Board.
