John was a laborer in 1900 census in Reading. In 1910 census he was living at 1308 East Buttonwood Street, Reading and he was a salesman at a hardware store. Had step children living with him, I would think from his second wife Mary, but have no idea where children were for 1900 census. Sarah E. Snyder, age 25, Tailor Part Factory;
Lillie Snyder, age 18, Vamper Shoe factory; and Myers L. Wells, age 7, step grandson. In 1920 census John was a laborer at a candy factory. Only sons George and Robert still at home.

John Clayton Fies RITTER and Sarah Catharine Yergey BURKHART were married on 10 Sep 1887 in Shillington, PA. Sarah Catharine Yergey BURKHART⁶⁶ was born on 27 Jun 1868. She died on 21 Feb 1894.
