217. Samuel W. REIDER^4,15,26 was born on 4 Aug 1854 in Ruscombmanor Township, Berks Co., PA. He died on 22 Oct 1934 in Berks County, PA. He was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. This Samuel may have married first to Sallie at St. John's. Sallie died quite young. So there is plenty of time for Samuel to marry another. The 1870 Census has Samuel working as a servant on a Schaeffer Farm in Richmond township. Samuel apparantly moved to Birdsboro after his marriage. Father did give property in Birdsboro to a son in law Charles Brown, maybe Samuel later purchased or joined Charles in the area. Samuel was a member of the Odd Fellows at the Birdsboro Lodge. He moved into Reading in 1903; and between 1918 and 1926 he moved to 2208 Raymond Ave., Northmont. Only sibling to survive him was sister Louisa .

Samuel W. REIDER and Sallie A. HELLER were married in 1875 in St. John's Reformed Church, Pricetown, PA. Sallie A. HELLER²¹ was born on 26 Sep 1857. She died on 4 Mar 1877. She was buried in St. John's Reformed Church, Pricetown, PA. It is my belief this Sallie was the first wife of Samuel W. Two infant deaths are atributed to this union and probably Sallie's death also in child birth. Sallie is the daughter of Levi and Sarah Heller (or Kieffer, bad writting on record). Sallie and infants buried at St. John's, Pricetown, PA. Berks death records have a stillborn female died 4 January 1876, born in Reading and buried at Pricetown. Father was Samuel.

Samuel W. REIDER and Sarah L. HARTMAN were married about 1882. Sarah L. HARTMAN^15,26 was born on 2 Dec 1858. She died on 19 Dec 1943 in Reading, PA. She was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. Died at her Northmont home; although now listed as the home of her daughter Flora. She was a member of the Covenant Methodist Church. Samuel W. REIDER and Sarah L. HARTMAN had the following children:

513	i.	Beulah M. REIDER15,26 was born on 27 Sep 1881. She died on 4 Sep 1926. She was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. Died of complications of ailments at home of parents Samuel W. and Sarah Hartman. She was listed in the 1913 Reading directory as a knitter.
514	ii.	Bertha A. REIDER4 was born in 1883 in Birdsboro, PA. She died after 1943. Married Raymond T. Kern on 25 Oct 1910 in Reading. Raymond was born in 1884 in Reading. He was a draftman. Bertha and Ray resided in Massachusetts in 1934 and still there in 1943.
515	iii.	Sarah Elizabeth REIDER15,26 was born on 8 Oct 1885 in Birdsboro, PA. She died on 6 Feb 1909 in Reading, PA. She was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. She was an atractive brunett per her photo in newspaper. She died from inflammatory rheumatism. Sarah was very active at her church, member of the Sunday School, and a church organist. She was a member of the Covenant Methodist Episcopal Church.

517	v.	John W. REIDER15,26 was born in 1891 in Birdsboro, PA. He died on 3 Jun 1921 in Reading, PA. He was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA.
518	vi.	Warren H. REIDER15,26 was born on 17 Aug 1893 in Birdsboro, PA. He died on 29 Nov 1966 in Pennsylvania. He was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. Living in Coatesville in 1934 and 1943. Buried in father's plot at Charles Evans. Dates are based on burial date and age given at death. Found nothing in Reading papers so may have died in Coatesville, PA.
519	vii.	Grace REIDER26 was born about 1893 in Birdsboro, PA. She died after 1943. Married to A. Max Meis and lived in Reading, PA in 1934.
520	viii.	Julie V. REIDER4,15,26 was born on 7 Jan 1896 in Birdsboro, PA. She died on 9 Oct 1906 in Reading, PA. She was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. Died from diphtheria.
521	ix.	Effie M. REIDER4 was born on 7 May 1898 in Birdsboro, PA. She died after 1943. The 1917 City directory has her living on North 9th Street, Reading and she is a telephone operator. Unmarried and in Philadelphia in 1934. Married to Lloyd Fellman in mother's 1943 obit.
522	x.	Flora M. REIDER26,51 was born on 13 Oct 1908 in Birdsboro, PA. She died in Jun 1986 in Reading, PA. Married to Edwin H. Sell in August 1934 and lived in Wyomissing Hills in 1934. Have an Edwin Sell from SS Death records 29 June 1906 - 28 September 1988.
