Zeswitz Jr., retired music store owner and former tennis champion, died May 18 at 1:10 p.m. in his residence on Timberline Drive, Wyomissing. Zeswitz, 86, was the husband of Elizabeth B. (Carnoles) Zeswitz. He was the owner and president of the Zeswitz Music Store, Reading, from 1939 until his retirement in 2002. The music store was located at 812 Penn St. and later moved to present location on Perkiomen Avenue, Exeter Township. Zeswitz won countless tennis titles from the middle 1930s into the 1970s. He won a city men's title and a city junior title and was the Berks County singles champ in 1949. He was inducted into the Berks County Tennis Association's Hall of Fame on Sept. 21, 1998. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late William H. Zeswitz Sr. and Emma (Kleschwitz) Zeswitz. Zeswitz was a 1935 graduate of Reading High School and attended Pennsylvania State University. He was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing. Zeswitz was a former board member of the Reading Symphony Orchestra and the National Association of Music Merchants. He is also survived by two stepdaughters, Victoria M. and Lisa A. Paskaly, both of Palm Beach, Fla.
