349. Edward Alonzo REIDER Sr.^4,15,87 was born on 12 Feb 1887. He died on 7 Jan 1961 in Orlando, FL. He was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. Edward's obituary in the Reading Eagle reads in part: Edward A. Reider Sr., President of Edward A. Reider, Inc. commercial and industrial building firm at 521 Van Reed Road, Wyomissing, died last night of a heart attack while vacationing in Orlando, FL. He was 73. Mr. Reider, who resided at 15 West 36th Street, Reiffton, had been vacationing in Florida since the middle of December.

Born in Reading, a son of the late Daniel S. and Sarah (Leader) Reider, he founded his contracting firm in 1921. When the business was incorporated in 1945, Reider was named President, a post he held until his death. Under his leadership, the firm constantly expanded and handled construction jobs for many important buildings in Reading and Berks County. Among the buildings constructed includes the Reading High School gymnasium, Wyomissing High School, Wyomissing Library, Berks Heim, Reading Eagle Company, Pennsylvania Optical Company, Maier's Bakery, and a number of building at Carpenter Steel and Parish Pressed Steel Division of Dana Corp.

Reider was active in a number of organizations. He was past president of the Reading Contractors and Builders Exchange and current president of Berks County Association for the Blind. He served on the board of directors of the People's Trust City Bank. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 435, F & AM and its Consistory; Camp 163 P.O.S of A.; Reading Lions Club and Zion United Church of Christ.

Edward Alonzo REIDER Sr. and Anna Helen BEYLER were married on 17 Aug 1905. Anna Helen BEYLER^4,15,87 was born on 20 Jul 1885 in Reading, PA. She died on 4 Sep 1983 in Wyomissing, PA. She was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. Daughter of Harry A. Beyler and Annie E. Fisher. Her family had a florist shop. She was a guest for three years at Wyomissing Lodge, where she died. She use to live on 36th Street in Reiffton, PA. Edward Alonzo REIDER Sr. and Anna Helen BEYLER had the following children:

708	ii.	Jacques Daniel REIDER15,26,87 was born on 20 Apr 1913 in Reading, PA. He died on 28 Jan 1974 in Reading, PA. He was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. Went by Jack. He owned and operated Reading Lime Company for 25 years. Jack was a former Pennsylvania State Live Bird Shooting Champion. He lived at 1206 Carbon Street, Reading. Jack won the State Championship in 1956. He won the White Flyer Championship in 1971 to add to many other titles he earned in New Jersey, Lancaster County and other Grand American Shooting events. Was married to an Agnes Boone. Was apparantly not married when he died.
