Other survivors include five grandchildren: Christal, wife of Phillip Levan; Darrell Schlegel, husband of Lori; Eric Schlegel, husband of Jarylynn; Rick Prutzman; and Christina, wife of Matthew Miller; and eight great-grandchildren. Emily Mae GIFT and William Charles PRUTZMAN were married on 16 Sep 1939.
William Charles PRUTZMAN17,26,31 (son of Charles Peter Brumbach PRUTZMAN and Elizabeth
S. LEININGER) was born on 12 Dec 1914 in St. Lawrence, PA. He was
baptized on 21 Jan 1915 in Schwarzwald Reformed Church, Exeter Township, PA.
He died on 12 Aug 2007 in Pottstown, PA. He was buried in Friedens
Union Cemetery, Oley, PA. William graduated from the former Mount
Penn High School. He was employed with the Birdsboro Steel Corporation as a pattern
maker for 40 years, retiring in 1979. He and Emily resided on Main Street, Oley,
beside the Fire Company. They attended Frieden's Church, Oley. William was a
US Army veteran of WW II. He lived lastly at the Sanatoga Court, Pottstown,
and died in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. He was a member of Oley Legion
Post 878, and a life member of the Oley Fire Company. William also loved fishing
and woodworking. Emily Mae GIFT and William Charles PRUTZMAN had the following
