Township, Berks Co., PA. He was baptized on 31 Jul 1859 in St. Joseph's
Hill Church, Pike Township, Berks Co., PA. He died on 23 Apr 1935
in Allentown, PA. He was buried in Zion Lehigh Lutheran Church, Alburtis,
Lehigh Co., PA. Sponsor Benjamin Yerger and Maria. Died at his home
at 320 Hanover Avenue, Allentown. On the photo provided, he is standing at the
far left as you look at the picture.
Third wife: Clara C., wife of Edwin Reider, of Alburtis, died Monday evening
of heart failure, aged 46 years. There survive the husband, a son, Robert Schmick,
from a former marriage; her mother, Mrs. James Fegley, of Emaus, and these brothers
and sisters: Wilson Fegley, of Mertztown; Martin, of Lebanon; James, of West
Coplay; Mrs. Sarah Roth, of Emaus; Mrs. Marietta Eck and Mrs. Aquilla DeLong,
both of Allentown. The funeral will be held on Monday at 9.30 a.m., with services
and burial at Longswamp church. Rev. Bond will officiate. Macungie Progress,

Oswin REIDER43 was born

16 Apr 1882 in St. Joseph's Hill Church, Pike Township, Berks Co., PA.
He died after 1945. Dr. Charles Reider was an eye, ear and nose

After a brief illness with pneumonia, Curvy M., son of Edwin Y. Reider, of Alburtis,
died last Wednesday. He brought his age to 18 years, 3 months and 10 days. The
young man had been on a visit to relatives at Siesholtzville while feeling unwell
and he died there. He was born near Landis Store and for some time past was employed
in Schuler's shirt factory. He was well liked and his untimely death is deplored
by all who knew him. His mother died a few years ago. His father, two sisters,
Mrs. James Kline and Ida, a brother, Wayne, of Alburtis and another brother residing
in the West, survive. The funeral was held on Tuesday forenoon. Interment was
made at Hill Church. Rev. Mr. Warmkessel, of Reading, was the officiating clergyman.
The pall-bearers were Harry J. W. Feinour, William Neitz, William Delong, Walter
Snyder, Erwin Christman and William Kruse, all companions of the deceased. Macungie

1935 and 1945. She was married 3 September 1910 to Irvin J. Minner. Irvin was
a son of Henry D. and Catharine Minner, born 1884 in Hereford Township. He was

PA. He was baptized on 6 Dec 1892 in St. Joseph's Hill Church, Pike

record at Hill Church list his name as Aaron Vain Penrose. Suspect it should
have been Aaron Wayne Penrose. He was known simply as Wayne Reider. Living

at Sinking Springs, PA in 1935 and married to James Y. Kline. Using dates from
the SSDI.
Sons obit from Reading Eagle: Arthur E. Kline, 97, formerly of 215 N. 13th St.,
died Jan. 16, 2002 in ManorCare Health Services Inc., Muhlenberg Township, where
he had resided eight days. He was taken to ManorCare from the St. Joseph Living
Center, Hyde Park, where he had resided five years. His wife, Anna C. (Koenig)
Kline, died Feb. 28, 1997. Born in Shamrock, Longswamp Township, he was a son
of the late James and Lillie (Reider) Kline. Arthur was the owner of Nu-Art
Dental Lab, Reading, from 1938 to 1966. He attended Reading High School and
the Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute. Surviving is a daughter, A. Karen (Kline)
Lake, Traverse City, Mich. Burial in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale, PA. |

Emma Katharine SHOEMAKER26 was born on 4 Nov 1886 in Pennsylvania.

Lutheran Church, Alburtis, Lehigh Co., PA. Daughter of William Henry
Shoemaker (born in Long Swamp Township and died age 72 on 15 October 1911) and

Ralph Leroy
REIDER26,75 was born on 16 Jun 1924 in Allentown, PA.
He died on 9 Jan 1945 in France. Ralph graduated frrom the Allentown
High School, class of 1942, he was employed by the National Linoleum Co., Allentown
prior to his induction into the army in July of 1943. He trained at Fort Knox
, Ky., and Camp Barkley Texas, before going overseas in September 1944 with the
US Army. He was a PFC with the 56th infantry Battalion, 12th Armored Division.
Ralph was reported missing in action during the Battle of the Bulge and was subsequently
declared dead 9 January 1945. He was reportedly killed when a tank destroyer
he was in took a direct hit and exploded, his remains were never recovered. He
is memorialized at Epinal American Cemetery, Epinal (Vosges) France. Ralph received
the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
