She was buried in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg, PA. Daughter of Solomon Steffe and Jennie Grouse. Edith worked for a number of years as a pressor at Dieners Underwear Mill in Hamburg, PA. On the Korean War Memorial in Reading's City Park, a James K. Reider is listed as one of 63 servicemen who gave their lives during the Korean War. His head stone states he was a Corporal with a Medical Company attached to the 17th Infantry Regiment. James had served 8 years with the US Army before his death.
