863. Charles Yoder BERGER²⁶ was born on 11 Jan 1920 in Oley Township, Berks Co., PA. He died on 24 Mar 2004 in Oley Township, Berks Co., PA. He was buried in Friedens Union Cemetery, Oley, PA. Charles died at 5:10 p.m. in his residence in Oley Township. He served in the Army Air Forces and Air Force from 1940 until his retirement in 1966. He was later employed for 12 years as a letter carrier by the Postal Service at the Fleetwood Post Office until his retirement. He was a veteran of World War II. Berger was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Oley. He was the grand tall cedar of Neversink Forest 32, Tall Cedars of Lebanon in 1981. Berger was a past patron of Faith Chapter 444, Order of Eastern Star, Boyertown. He was a 32nd degree mason of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Reading.
