192. Walter Mengel PRUTZMAN^4,18,25,44 was born in Mar 1854 in Reading, PA. He died on 8 Apr 1924 in Reading, PA. He was buried in Salem "Shalter's" Church, Alsace Township, PA. Walter learned tin smithing from his father and worked first with W.H.Bitting for 12 years. He then received his father's business in 1885 at 304 Penn Street. In 1909 this building was described as one of the older buildings in Reading, and was 21 feet by 90 feet. He died at his home, 209 North 3rd St. Reading, following a year's illness. He was a charter member of St. Paul's Memorial Reformed Church and a member of Chandler Lodge No. 227, Free and Accepted Masons. Also a member of the Reading Consistory and the Scottish Rite Masons.

His father's obit has him as a surviver in 1905. Can't find an obit for 8 April 1924. He is listed in the 1917 City directory, living at 209 North 3rd Street.

Walter Mengel PRUTZMAN and Rose E. HIGH were married in Nov 1878. Rose E. HIGH^4,14,45 (daughter of Joseph HOCH and Margaret BINGAMAN) was born on 8 Jan 1854 in Reading, PA. She died on 23 Jan 1899. She was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. Daughter of Joseph and Margaret Hoch. Was ill for two years before dieing of liver complaint at home. Walter Mengel PRUTZMAN and Rose E. HIGH had the following children:

348	i.	Maude M. PRUTZMAN4,14 was born on 10 Sep 1879 in Reading, PA. She died on 20 Jan 1885 in Reading, PA. She was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA.
349	ii.	Paul B. PRUTZMAN4 was born about 1881 in Reading, PA. Grandmother's pollbearer in 1910. He was an engineer with the Reading Heat & Power Company. When his father died in 1924, he was living in Collingswood, NJ.

Walter Mengel PRUTZMAN and Rebecca S. LEINBACH were married on 26 Jun 1901 in Reading, PA. Rebecca S. LEINBACH^4,25,27,44 (daughter of Lewis LEINBACH and Elizabeth SCHMEHL) was born in 1868 in Alsace Township, Berks Co., PA. She died in 1947. She was buried in Salem "Shalter's" Church, Alsace Township, PA. Rebecca was a widow, her first husband was Jeremiah R. Snyder, she married in 1889, and he died 13 Oct 1894. Marriage record 6/636. Born in second half of 1868.
