He married in 1840 to Catherine Yetter. She was born 1 January 1801 in Pennsylvania. He is thought to have moved west after his second marriage. He died at Wyoming, Jones County, Iowa. The Brotzman book had his death at Lawezianna? (probably Louisiana)
