4. George Adam BROTZMAN^1,2 was born on 25 Mar 1728 in Württemberg. He died on 3 Jun 1815 in Montgomery County, PA. He was buried in Augustus Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trappe, PA. George Adam, usually referred to as Adam, at age 10, arrived with his parents in Philadelphia, 28 Oct 1738. Adam obtained manhood and moved south to the Limerick - Trappe area. He took the "Oath of Allegiance" to the colony of Pennsylvania in Skippack, 10 April 1762. He had an account with the Salfordville Store, 1766 - 1774. In 1788 he gave 74 acres of his land in Limerick Twp., to his son Adam. This was one year after his wife Anna Martha died. His son Adam only worked his father's gift for ten years before his early death in 1798. Sometime after 1800 this family became Prutzman, probably because the English record keepers wrote down what they thought they heard from the German speaking Brotzmans. His brothers in Easton were able to maintain the Brotzman spelling. Adam married a second time to a Catherine Schneider, date unknown. No children were recorded from this second union.

George Adam BROTZMAN and Anna Martha SAHLER were married on 22 Mar 1750 in Augustus Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trappe, PA. Anna Martha SAHLER¹ (daughter of Peter SAHLER and Maria Magdelena SAHLER) was born in 1731 in Deutschland. She died in 1787 in Montgomery County, PA. George Adam BROTZMAN and Anna Martha SAHLER had the following children:

25	v.	William BROTZMAN1 was born in 1756 in Montgomery County, PA. He died on 17 Feb 1760 in Montgomery County, PA. He was buried in Augustus Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trappe, PA.
26	vi.	Elizabeth BROTZMAN1,3 was born in 1758 in Montgomery County, PA. She died on 22 Feb 1760 in Montgomery County, PA. She was buried on 24 Feb 1760 in Augustus Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trappe, PA.
+27	vii.	Johann Frederick BROTZMAN.
28	viii.	Hannah BROTZMAN1,3 was born in 1762 in Montgomery County, PA. She was confirmed on 5 May 1776 in Augustus Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trappe, PA. She died after 1818. Believed to be married to a Mr. Boulton, per settlement papers from the will of father Adam.
