173. James Zacharias GRIESEMER^1,27 was born on 6 June 1827. He was baptized on 6 December 1827. He died on 26 September 1901. James was buried in Schwarzwald Reformed Church, Exeter Township, PA. Has a large monument at Oley Cemetery; but Schwarzwald book also lists his monument. Birth year is noted as 1829 on stone.

He inherited a farm and mill in St. Lawrence. Montgomery's History of Berks County says John operated a grist and sawmill on the Antietam Creek at the crossing of the Oley Turnpike in St. Lawrence near the Black Bear Inn.

James Zacharias GRIESEMER and Eleanora S. MAURER were married on 5 June 1850. Eleanora S. MAURER^1,3,27 was born on 18 July 1830. She died on 2 December 1891. She was buried in Schwarzwald Reformed Church, Exeter Township, PA.
