601. Peter Butz GRIESEMER1,41,49,56 was born on 25 January 1890 in Oley Township, Berks Co., PA. He died on 17 July 1965 in Reading, PA. He was buried in Laureldale Cemetery, Berks Co., PA. In 1917 City directory he was a conductor with the rail road and lived at 930 Moss Street. When he died he was at 939 Perry Street, Reading, PA. His obit listed him as retired from the Prizer-Painter Stove Works of Reading. Peter Butz GRIESEMER and Emma May YOUNG were married about 1916. Emma May YOUNG41 was born on 3 February 1895. She died after 1965. Peter Butz GRIESEMER and Emma May YOUNG had the following children: 997 | i. | Ralph Young GRIESEMER41 was born on 26 January 1917 in Reading, PA. He died on 20 December 1999 in Muhlenberg Township, Berks Co., PA. He was buried in Laureldale Cemetery, Berks Co., PA. Ralph died at his home in Hyde Park, PA. He was the husband of Catharine D. Filbert. Ralph was a veteran of WW II. He worked for 20 years with Clark Company, a trailer manufacture. And work lastly, 12 years as a maintenance man with Wilson School District, retiring in 1982. He was a graduate on Reading High School. (Note that Berks marriage records have the wife as Catharine Dundore Kline, married approx. Sept. 1946) Catharine Dundore Griesemer, 91, of Country Meadows, Wyomissing, formerly of Girard Street, Hyde Park, died 14 February 2003, in St. Joseph Medical Center, where she had been a patient since Feb. 10. Born in Newmanstown, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Laura (Zerbe) Filbert. She was employed for many years locally in the hosiery industry until her retirement. She was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Reading, and was a graduate of Reading High School. She is survived by a daughter from her earlier marriage, Carolyne K. (Kline) Gassert, Wyomissing, and one granddaughter. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton.

Miriam was a member of St. Thomas Reformed Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of Lower Alsace Fire Company and the Ladies Auxiliary of Berks County. She was employed by the Reading Laundries. She died after an illness of five weeks. | 999 | iii. | Donald Y. GRIESEMER41,49 was born on 6 December 1924 in Reading, PA. He died on 9 May 2001 in Reading, PA. He was buried in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Mount Penn, PA. Donald died at his residence in Riverview Park, PA. He was the husband of Barbara (Warfield) Griesemer. His first wife, June (Keating) Griesemer, died Aug. 19, 1978. He was employed for several years as a wood pattern maker by 3 Way Pattern Enterprises, Bern Township, retiring in 1990. He was a 1942 graduate of Reading High School and a graduate of Temple University, Philadelphia, with a bachelor's degree in drafting. Don was a Navy veteran of World War II and he was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Reading, and a life member of the Temple Fire Company. He was also survived by three sons: Robert W. Griesemer, East Hampton, N.Y.; David A. Griesemer, Harrisburg; and Richard S. Griesemer, Lancaster. He was predeceased by a son, Ronald M. Griesemer, in 1951, and a daughter, Judith A. (Griesemer) Hatt, in 1994. | 1000 | iv. | Denton Y. GRIESEMER41 was born on 11 July 1928 in Reading, PA. He died after 2000. Married Dorothy Ann Fioravanti. | 1001 | v. | Catherine Ann GRIESEMER41 was born on 18 February 1933 in Reading, PA. She died in September 1976. Married to a Judd Norbert Fake of Reading. |
