She was buried in St. Paul's Cemetery, Amity Township, PA. Daughter of John Lorah of Amity Twp. Rebecca S. LORAH and Franklin B. RHOADS were married on 16 June 1861 in Trinity Reformed Church, Pottstown, PA. Franklin B. RHOADS14,24,29,33,43,83 was born on 24 July 1838 in Amity Township, Berks Co., PA. He was baptized on 21 October 1838 in St. Paul's Union Church, Amity Township, PA. He died on 31 May 1915. Franklin was buried in St. Paul's Cemetery, Amity Township, PA. He attended the old pay school in Amityville. And later the Freeland Academy in 1857. He spent 6 years as a teacher in Amity, and Douglass, he was a very popular teacher. He than farmed the old homestead of 143 acres till 1886, when he moved to Boyertown and became a bank teller of the National Bank of Boyertown. (His brother-in-law was President). He remained a teller till January 1908. Was also an active member with the Rosalind Castle No. 228, Knights of the Golden Eagles. Franklin B. RHOADS, who for many years was employed as a teller in the Boyertown National Bank, aged 76 years, died from old age and apoplexy at his home, 411 South 14th Street, Reading, on Monday morning. For the past four weeks he was ill. His illness took a serious aspect two weeks ago when he was confined to his bed. Mr. RHOADS was born in Amity township. He received his early education in the schools of that township and for several years was clerk at the Yellow House creamery. He later moved to Boyertown. Here he was employed for many years as a teller in the National Bank. Through his daily work he made the acquaintance of many people who regarded him with respect. About seven years ill healthy at certain intervals caused his retirement from the banking business. He moved to Reading four years ago. Mr. RHOADS was an ardent Democrat and very active years ago. An interview he gave to the writer about 25 years ago, and published in this paper at the time, was largely the cause of Judge HAGENMAN's defeat for re-election. He was a member of Rosalind Castle, No. 227, Knights of the Golden Eagle, of Boyertown and for many years treasurer of the lodge. He was twice married and is survived by his widow, Mary (nee DELLICKER) and six children from the first wife: John L. and Chauncey L., of Reading; Daniel, Hazelton; William, Boyertown; Mrs. William LEINBACH, Mt. Penn; Mrs. John GUILDIN, Yellow House. One sister, Mrs. Hattie BECHTEL, of Reading, also survives. The funeral was held from his late residence on Thursday. Services and interment at St. Paul's Union Church, Amityville. Rev. George G. GREENAWALD officiated. The bearers included three sons and a grandson, Daniel, Chauncey, William and Llewellyn RHOADS. The tributes included these: Carnations, Mr. and Mrs. KIRCHOFF; sweet peas, Jacob YAHN, of Boyertown; carnations, widow; peonies, sister, Mrs. BECHTEL and family; peonies, Dorothy; carnations, daughter Maud; carnations, Dorothy; carnations and roses Mrs. Howard MILLER. A delegation from Rosalind Castle Knights of the Golden Eagle, of Boyertown, attended the funeral. During the service Miss Helen GUILDIN sang several hymns. Rebecca S. LORAH and Franklin B.
