16. Peter GRIESEMER10,12 was born on 28 November 1751 in Oley Township, Berks Co., PA. He died on 2 August 1811 in Oley Township, Berks Co., PA. He was buried in Oley Cemetery, Spangsville, Berks Co., PA. He was a veteran of the Revolutionary War. Founder of the village of Griesemersville, in 1782, Peter built the oldest of the remaining original Griesemer houses. Tax records for 1780 have Peter with 260 acres. He is listed in the DAR Patriot Index as having served as a private with the PA Militia during the American Revolution. His will is dated 12 July 1811.

Peter GRIESEMER and Esther Bertolet HOCH were married in 1778. Esther Bertolet HOCH12,14 was born on 25 June 1758 in Oley Township, Berks Co., PA. She died on 20 January 1840 in Oley Township, Berks Co., PA. She was buried in Oley Cemetery, Spangsville, Berks Co., PA. Survived by 28 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

She died on 16 March 1791 in Oley Township, Berks Co., PA. Susannah was buried in Oley Cemetery, Spangsville, Berks Co., PA.

Catharine Hoch GRIESEMER1,3,12 was born on 7 August 1792 in Oley Township, Berks Co., PA. She died on 16 November 1836 in Oley Township, Berks Co., PA. She was buried in Oley Cemetery, Spangsville, Berks Co., PA. Never married. But the History of Berks, 1909 says Catharine married Daniel Van Reed.
