After the death of his father, he inherited a farm near Shillington, PA. He operated the farm for a time. Later embarked in the lumber business, purchasing many tracts of wooded lands. He continued in this and became very prosperous. Was a Democrat in politics. David G. HERTZOG and Margaret YOCUM were married in November 1857. Margaret YOCUM was born about 1835. |
