He died on 23 February 1913 in Lebanon County, PA. He was buried in Strausstown Union Cemetery, Berks Co., PA. Samuel was a watch repair man in Strausstown when he died. The Reading Eagle reported him as the oldest resident in Strausstown at 108, which was based on the birth date of 4 September 1804, reported to Pennsylvania on the official death certificate. I have no idea what his survivors were thinking; although apparently Samuel didn't know his age either. The 1820 Census lists him as an under age 10 son, which is supported by the 1850 Census which has him at age 34, and a heater; thus working in a foundry. He was 56 in 1870 Census and 62 in 1880 Census. All taken in Upper Tulpehocken Township. He was a watch repairman in 1880. He and Rebecca had more children than listed. Samuel NEUIN and Rebecca HAAS were married. Rebecca HAAS11,33 was born on 23 March 1820 in Berks County, PA. She died on 1 April 1891 in Strausstown, Berks Co., PA. She was buried in Strausstown Union Cemetery, Berks Co., PA. Samuel NEUIN and Rebecca HAAS had the following children:
