55. Johannes BITTING^23,24 was born on 18 May 1764 in Longswamp Township, Berks Co., PA. He died on 25 Sep 1829 in Cumru Township, Berks Co., PA. He was buried in Bitting Family Cemetery, Kenhorst, PA. Johannes Bitting was the owner of the original Bitting Homestead in Berks County, 102 acres of the finest ground in Cumru Township. He was a farmer. He aquired the homestead about 1790, his grandson would sell it 100 years later. Johannes, his wife and much of his family is buried at the Bitting private cemetery. It was located at a corner of the homestead property. In the 1950's the stones were removed for developement and the cemetery is now a grassy lawn at, I believe Alvernia College, or the house across the street.

Johannes BITTING and Marie LATSHAUER were married about 1787. Marie LATSHAUER²³ was born on 22 Dec 1766 in Cumru Township, Berks Co., PA. She died on 3 Sep 1849 in Cumru Township, Berks Co., PA. She was buried in Bitting Family Cemetery, Kenhorst, PA. Johannes BITTING and Marie LATSHAUER had the following children:

110	vi.	Margaret BITTING was born on 16 Jan 1802 in Cumru Township, Berks Co., PA. She died on 10 Dec 1868 in East Cocalico Township, Lancaster Co., PA. She was buried in Muddy Creek Cemetery, East Cocalico Township, Lancaster, PA. Mentioned in father's will. Married John Frymoyer.
