108. Jacob Daniel BITTING^23,26,36 was born on 10 Dec 1797 in Cumru Township, Berks Co., PA. He died on 13 Jan 1879 in Cumru Township, Berks Co., PA. He was buried in Bitting Family Cemetery, Kenhorst, PA. Jacob was born on the Bitting Homestead, than in Cumru Township. Jacob left the homestead to farm his own place, first in Northumberland County, then seven years in Dauphin County. He obtained a land warrant for 35 acres in Lycoming County, PA on November 10, 1841. Then he kept a hotel for 2 years in Perry County. He returned to the Bitting homestead in later years to help his brother Daniel, who now owned the homestead. He was at homestead for 1850 census. Jacob died at the homestead from debility and is buried in the Bitting private cemetery. (NOTE Rev. Aaron Lienbach records have death as 16 Jan 1878. - have found nothing in Reading paper regards death)

Sarah Ann ROTHERMEL^23,26,36,37 (daughter of Jacob ROTHERMEL and Elizabeth WARNER) was born on 2 Jan 1802 in Alsace Township, Berks Co., PA. She died on 8 Jun 1876 in Cumru Township, Berks Co., PA. She was buried in Bitting Family Cemetery, Kenhorst, PA. Jacob Daniel BITTING and Sarah Ann ROTHERMEL had the following children:

176	viii.	Ellen BITTING23,24,26 was born in 1837 in Pennsylvania. Married Peter F. Hebener. He was 8 September 1836 to 1 June 1872, and buried in the Bitting Cemetery in Kenhorst.

178	x.	Isaac BITTING26 was born in 1844 in Cumru Township, Berks Co., PA. Probably an infant death, no one else has this child. Although St. John's in Boyertown had a Isaac R. Bitting married Clara Walters on 25 oct 1879.
179	xi.	Susan BITTING23,24,26 was born in 1845 in Pennsylvania. Susan was married twice. To Peter Zimmerman and Robert Harner.
