193. Owen BITTING^{8,22,26,30,33} was born on 5 Apr 1820 in Reading, PA. He was baptized on 23 May 1820 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Reading, PA. He died on 27 Aug 1862 in Reading, PA. He was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. Owen was reported to be a carpenter who made chairs. He initially lived in Reading, then moved to Mertztown; but came back to Reading.

Owen BITTING and Rebecca SIEGFRIED were married on 23 May 1841 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Reading, PA. Rebecca SIEGFRIED^8,33 was born in 1821. She died on 18 Mar 1849 in Reading, PA. She was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. Rebecca is reported to have been born 18 Mar 1828. And therefore was married at 13. Her first child was born 10 days after her 13th birthday. Is this possible? I'll continue to use the headstone date of birth till I double check the reported date myself. Owen BITTING and Rebecca SIEGFRIED had the following children:

299	iv.	Mary BITTING53 was born in 1846 in Reading, PA.

Owen BITTING and Catharine UNK were married in 1851. Catharine UNK⁵³ was born in 1832. She died on 26 Sep 1865. She was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. Rev. Wm. Kershner has a note inconjunction with the death of one of her children which implies her surname is Bishop. Owen BITTING and Catharine UNK had the following children:

302	iii.	Samuel Milton BITTING28,38 was born on 17 Nov 1855. He died on 1 Aug 1910 in Shillington, PA. He was buried in Aulenbach Cemetery, Reading, PA. Paper did not seem to have an obit, just a death notice. Probable wife Catharine buried with. She died 17 November 1936, age 71.
