49. Joseph BITTING^8,21 was born on 19 May 1758 in Philadelphia, PA. He died on 6 Dec 1844 in White Deer Township, Union Co., PA. Was a hatter. Served 2 years in Continental Army including winter at Valley Forge, as a Private and Sergeant. Later moved to White Deer, Union County, PA.

Joseph BITTING and Catherine GRAEF were married on 18 Oct 1781 in St. Michael's and Zion Church, Philadelphia, PA. Catherine GRAEF^8,21 was born about 1760. Joseph BITTING and Catherine GRAEF had the following children:

94	i.	Ludwig BITTING8 was born in 1782. He died in 1788.
95	ii.	Catherine BITTING8 was born in 1785 in Pennsylvania.

97	iv.	John BITTING8 was born in 1791 in Montgomery County, PA. He died after 1860 in Union County, PA. Married an Annie Slear.
98	v.	Henry BITTING8 was born on 9 Jun 1800 in Montgomery County, PA. He died in 1875 in Indiana.
99	vi.	Jacob BITTING8,22 was born on 11 Oct 1802 in Montgomery County, PA. He died on 2 Jan 1861 in Reading, PA.
