18. Ludwig BITTING Jr.^3,6,14,15,16 was born on 2 Jun 1729 in Montgomery County, PA. He died on 18 Sep 1796 in Cumru Township, Berks Co., PA. He was buried in Bitting Family Cemetery, Kenhorst, PA. Ludwig was taxed as a single man in Rockland Township in 1760, then he relocated to Longswamp Township till 1775. From 1778 to 1789, Ludwig and family lived in Alsace Township, Reading, Heidelberg Township and finally Cumru Township. A summons dated 17 Jan 1776 to Ludwig of Berks was issued in regards to his father's contested estate, this summons being the primary link between this father and son. US Census 1790 has Ludwig living in Cumru Townshop. His occupation was that of a tanner. Ludwig also served with PA Militia, 3rd Battion, 1777 - 78. Until I check land records, it is unclear whether Ludwig's land became the Bitting homestead of over 100 years.

Ludwig BITTING Jr. and Susanna HOCH were married about 1762 in Longswamp Township, Berks Co., PA. Susanna HOCH⁶ (daughter of Johannes HOCH and Susanna HERBEIN) was born on 8 May 1735 in Oley Township, Berks Co., PA. She died on 6 Nov 1801 in Cumru Township, Berks Co., PA. She was buried in Bitting Family Cemetery, Kenhorst, PA. Also known as Hannah. Will was written 16 September 1796. Rev. J.W. Boos has May 1734 to 15 Jan 1802. Ludwig BITTING Jr. and Susanna HOCH had the following children:

60	vi.	Anna Maria BITTING15,17 was born on 23 May 1776 in Alsace Township, Berks Co., PA. She died on 6 Aug 1778. She was buried in High Private Cemetery, Popular Neck, Cumru Twp., PA. Buried in Hoch private cemetery in Cumru Township.
