Ethel May EACHES38,65 was born on 19 Sep 1891 in Reading,
PA. She died on 16 Feb 1970 in Hassler Home, Shillington, PA.
She was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. Ethel's father
and mother separated early. George T. Durell, her step father became the only
father she would know. As a young women, she made gloves at a factory. At the
time of her wedding, she was noted in the paper as an accomplished young women,
well known in social circles. To the grand children, "Grammum" was
quite a talker. Her wedding to Guy was held in her home at 425 West Oley Street,
Reading. Guy's father, George, was the minister. "Miss Minnie Fisher, the
bride's aunt, rendered the wedding march on the piano. Potted plants and flowers
made the room attractive in appearance". After Guy's death, Ethel continued
to live at the Gordon Street home. Her daughter Dorothy, moved in during her last
years. Ethel was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Guy Lincoln
BIERMAN25,38,65,72 (son of Dr. George Fillmore BIERMAN Phd. and Sarah Jane
WAGNER) was born on 18 Jun 1890 in Port Carbon, Schuylkill Co., PA.
He was baptized on 28 Nov 1892 in Port Carbon, Schuylkill Co., PA.
He was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA.
He grew to manhood primarily in Birdsboro, PA. He was an electrician at time of his
marriage, living at 148 S. 4th Street, Reading, and had a position with the Birdsboro Pipe Mill.
After marriage Guy and his new wife moved to 622 Gordon Street, Reading, and
he was employed at Reading Company train shop as a crane operator.
On a November morning, 1943, while checking his crane, Guy fell to his death at age 53.
He was a member of the Knights of Malta and the P&R Relief Assoc.

Guy Bertram
BIERMAN25,38,65,73 was born on 3 Jul 1912 in Reading, PA. He
was baptized on 24 Nov 1912 in Birdsboro, PA. He died on 4 Feb 1987
in Burlington County Hospital, NJ. He was buried in Charles Evans
Cemetery, Reading, PA. Guy was baptized by his grand father and raised
at 622 Gordon Street, Reading, PA. Known as "Yokel" during his youth,
he dropped out of school at the beginning of his senior year when it became apparent
he would not pass English. He worked at Stichter's Hardware store at 5th and
Penn, Reading, where he rode his bicycle to work to save trolley fare. He later
got a job as clerk at Textile Foundry. Guy met his wife to be, Alice M. Fritz, during a "setup"
on his lunch hour. "Pop" loved big band music, cigars, beer, cheese, meat and potatoes,
a very conservative life style, and fatty diet. The Bierman family bought their first house at 2015
Noble Street, West Lawn from the Zong's on 16 March 1946. He joined the Masonic Order in 1952,
and became very involved. He served as the following: Master of Chandler Lodge 227,
Commander of Reading Commandery 42, member of The Knights Templar,
Recipient of the Knight of York Cross of Honor and the Knight Templar
Cross of Honor, and Master Mason of Pennsylvania in 1986. He was serving as Grand
Percivant of the Grand Council of Pennsylvania at the time of his death. He
retired from Rockwell International as the foundry Sales Manager in 1974. He
was the treasurer for 30 plus years with West Lawn Quoiting Club. Pop was well
known for his dry humor and dozing in chair with cigar still burning in mouth. His only son, Guy L. Bierman,

Dorothy May
BIERMAN38,74 was born on 11 Sep 1915 in Reading, PA.
She died on 24 Jan 1979 in Wyomissing, PA. She was buried in Charles
Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. Aunt Dot was a very attractive woman.
She was under age when she married Arnold Listrani on 26 October 1933 at an
unknown place. Her father would have no parts of it and obtained an anullment.
She was crowned "Best Strawberry Blonde of Reading", as a promotion
for a movie. She enlisted in the Womens Army Corps during WW II, serving at
Fort Oglethorpe, GA, and reenlisted for the Korean War, serving in Washington
DC. After retirement from the service, Dot returned to Reading, living first
with her mother at 622 Gordon Street, Reading. After Ethel died, she moved into an
apartment, where a few years later she was found dead on the floor at age 63. Dot
was a popular Aunt with neices Gail and Carole as she was always ready to go
to the movies. Had a collection of movie magazines the girls loved; and she
let them "try on" make-up, nail polish and perfumes. She loved dancing
on stage; but never pursued it as a career. Buried with her parents at Charles

Wagner BIERMAN65 was
born on 9 Nov 1920 in Reading, PA. He died of pneumonia on 26 Jan 1921 in Reading,
PA. He was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA.
