240. Emma Laura BITTING^38,49 was born in Aug 1876. Emma was raised by a family from Obelisk, who were poor and required Emma to work very hard. Apparently when sister Kate was of legal age and had some money, she moved Emma back to Pottstown to be raised with a nicer family who owned a bakery on Chestnut Street. Emma after her marriage, resided at 349 Jefferson St., Pottstown, PA. Emma and George were great friends with Leroy and Myrtle Prutzman.

Emma Laura BITTING and George Rhine OISTER were married. George Rhine OISTER was born in Oct 1873. He died before 1910. Emma Laura BITTING and George Rhine OISTER had the following children:

Marian Sally OISTER was born on 27 Feb 1927 in Pottstown, PA. She died on 24 Jan 2005 in Pottstown, PA. She was buried in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown, PA. Marian Sally (Oister) Rosenberry, 97, of Jefferson Street in Pottstown, widow of Charles G. Rosenberry Sr, died in her home of natural causes. Marian was a co-owner & operator of the former Jefferson Street Food Market for 30 yrs, prior to retiring. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Pottstown. Mrs. Rosenberry loved her family, grandchildren & great grandchildren & enjoyed cooking. Surviving are one daughter, Marian Virginia "Ginger" Rosenberry of Pottstown; four grandchildren, Kevin Rosenberry of Pottstown, Leslie, wife of Walter Sokalsky, of Mechanicsburg, Cecile, wife of Doug Allen Stetler, of Gilbertsville & Charles G. Rosenberry III, of Pottstown. Mrs Rosenberry was predeceased by a son, Charles G. Rosenberry Jr in 2004; four brothers & three sisters.
