174. John BITTING^23,24,38,50 was born on 25 Jul 1828 in Sunbury, PA. He died on 9 Dec 1918 in Shillington, PA. He was buried in Yocum's Cemetery, Cumru Township, Berks Co., PA. John was the last Bitting to own the homestead, he sold it in 1890. Although born in Sunbury, John returned to homestead with parents in 1848, and worked on the farm. He was living with a son in law, James Miller, on Miller St., Shillington, PA, when he died. He and Elizabeth had three infant deaths, two of which are unknown, suspect Howard is one.

John BITTING and Elizabeth WORLEY were married about 1853. Elizabeth WORLEY^23,46,50 was born on 16 Mar 1835. She died on 25 Nov 1888 in Shillington, PA. She was buried in Yocum's Cemetery, Cumru Township, Berks Co., PA. May have been known as Rebecca John BITTING and Elizabeth WORLEY had the following children:

256	iv.	Charles BITTING was born about 1860 in Cumru Township, Berks Co., PA. He died before 1918. Cannot not find him in 1880 census.
257	v.	Mary Ann BITTING25,46 was born in 1861 in Cumru Township, Berks Co., PA. She died before 1918. Living in Reading when married. Married Charles W. Berg on 3 March 1888 in Reading, PA. He was born 1860, and was a dairyman in Cumru Township.

259	vii.	William W. BITTING33,38,46 was born in Feb 1864 in Cumru Township, Berks Co., PA. He died in Nov 1922. He was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, PA. Married Martha E. Adams, daughter of Aaron and Rebecca Adams. Was known as Mattie. She was born 21 Sep 1872, and died on 26 Feb 1936. Was living at 26 North 6th Avenue, West Reading, PA. A member of St. James Reformed Church in West Reading. No children mentioned in her obit; however there is an infant, Emily M. buried with them at Charles Evans, born 1910, died 5 months old.

261	ix.	Lillie BITTING38,46 was born in 1868 in Cumru Township, Berks Co., PA. Married James H. Miller, son of Jonathan and Sarah Miller, on 13 April 1889 in Reading. He was born in 1868 in Mohnton, PA. Jim was a cigar maker. Lillie was living on Miller Street, Shillington, where her father died in 1918.
