Mahlon Kerst MOHR30 was born on 7 Feb 1829 in Union Township, Berks Co., PA. He died on 22 Feb 1872 in Kansas. Mahlon went West. He was shown on the Kansas State census in 1859 in Douglas, KS. He was shot and killed in Wakanusa, Douglas County, KS. He is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence, KS with his sister, Mary K. Mohr Lacey, and a nephew George Wilmot Savage. He married Elizabeth Sophia Learned, probably in Kansas. She was from Cambridge, MA.

Daniel Kerst MOHR30 was born in 1831 in Union Township, Berks Co., PA. He died in 1871. Married a Levina; had son, Mahlon, shown age 2 on 1860 Census in Union Twp, PA. Lived in Birdsboro, PA.

Mary Kerst MOHR30 was born on 7 Apr 1833 in Union Township, Berks Co., PA. He died on 26 Apr 1909 in Oregon. Married James Lacey, a native of Wales, England. They moved to Lawrence, KS where James died in 1885. He was a farmer and his sons were in the cattle business. When the children settled in Portland, OR, Mary, a widow, went to live near them. She died in Portland of a stroke, and her body was returned to Lawrence, KS to be buried with her husband and other kin in the Oak Hill Cemetery. James and Mary had 4 children - 3 boys and a girl.
